AUNT LEAH'S INDEPENDENT LIFESKILLS SOCIETY
Vancouver, BC

Aunt Leah's Independent Lifeskills Society helps foster children and mothers in need on their journey to self-sufficiency. We help to prevent teens from becoming homeless and young mothers from losing their children to foster care.

Our three main areas of service are:

1) Housing ...for youth and single moms
2) Job Training ...for work in restaurants, cafes and retail
3) Lifeskills Training ...basic life management skills.

For at risk youth and young mothers, Aunt Leah’s provides what a grandparent, aunt or uncle would provide if a child was left without parental support.

We also operate a Thrift Store on SE Marine Drive in Vancouver and carry products in a variety of categories including: children’s items, household items, furniture, small appliances, electronics, toys, clothing & books.

Proceeds from Aunt Leah's Thrift Store will help moms and babies in our Thresholds Residential Program.
